Q&A

What are you up to now?

In my role, I provide personal, social, and academic support to students in grades 9–12, along with college and career advising. I am passionate about supporting students and encouraging them to make the most of their high school experience by getting involved and being intentional about their course selections. The most rewarding part of my work is celebrating the programs students are accepted to and witnessing the success they achieve after graduation.

How did Homestead impact and shape who you are today?

Homestead was a place where I truly felt like my best self. I was surrounded by incredible friends and teachers—many of whom I now have the privilege of working alongside. I had the opportunity to take engaging courses, including psychology and sociology, and to participate in student organizations that shaped my experiences in college and beyond. I always knew I wanted to work in education, and after various experiences working with youth, I realized that school counseling was the perfect fit for me.
